Kim Khazei joined WHDH-TV in January 1994 as co-anchor of 7 NEWS Morning Edition, which airs from 5:00-7:00AM Monday through Friday. Khazei also co-anchors 7 NEWS at Noon with Cathy Marshall and is a contributing reporter for Channel 7's Healthcast.
Khazei began her career at KOMU-TV (NBC affiliate) in Columbia, Missouri as a producer and anchor/reporter. Khazei then spent four years at KQTV (ABC affiliate) in Missouri as evening anchor/reporter and producer. From 1985-'86 she was the evening news anchor for the NBC affiliate in Champaign, Illinois.
In January of 1987, Khazei moved to the NBC affiliate in Sacramento, California where she worked for two years as weekend anchor/reporter. Khazei then spent two years as anchor and reporter at KOVR-TV (ABC affiliate) in Sacramento, California.
Most recently, Khazei was the host and correspondent for a nationally syndicated travel news magazine show, in which she reported from around the globe. While with "Weekend Travel Update", Khazei reported from Egypt and Israel on the economic impact in the aftermath of the Persian Gulf War.
In her fourteen years of reporting, Khazei has covered health extensively. Her interest in the medical community stems from her father, who is a cardiovascular surgeon.
Khazei received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism Broadcasting from University of Missouri-Columbia.
