John Marler is co-anchor of WHDH-TV's 5, 6, and 11PM news Monday through Friday. He came to Channel 7 from WAGA-TV in Atlanta, Georgia where he worked as an anchor for five years.

Prior to WAGA-TV, Marler was an anchor/reporter for the following stations: WABC-TV in New York City; KIRO-TV in Seattle, Washington; WOI-TV in Ames/Des Moines, Iowa; KBOI-TV in Boise, Idaho; and for KIFI-TV in Idaho Falls, Idaho. During his career he has also served as a news director, assistant news director, and managing editor.

In addition, Marler has worked at numerous radio stations before making the move to television. He covered stories across the United States, from Europe, and has reported extensively from Asia. He is the recipient of Emmy Awards for his reporting, writing, and producing.
