US Senate hopeful Michael J. Sullivan has D.C. fundraiser on calendar
Republican US Senate candidate Michael. J. Sullivan, whose campaign has drawn Tea Party enthusiasm, is scheduled to scoop up some cash Friday in a decidedly Tea-free venue: a downtown Washington, D.C., law firm.
Sullivan has a luncheon fundraiser booked at the Washington office of Kirkland and Ellis LLP, with suggested contributions of $1,000 per head and a donation cap of $2,600 per person.
The invitation lists Juleanna Glover, a Washington lobbyist and former aide to Vice President Dick Cheney, and Andy Card, White House chief of staff for President George W. Bush, among the hosts. Both Sullivan and Card served in the state House of Representatives before climbing to national office.
A former US attorney, Sullivan has led in public polling over State Representative Daniel B. Winslow and investor and former Navy SEAL Gabriel Gomez.Jim O’Sullivan can be reached at James.OSullivan@globe.com. Follow him on Twitter at @JOSreports.
