President Obama and two top congressional Democrats are set to headline a high-dollar fund-raiser in Weston next month, according to an invitation sent to some Democratic donors and obtained by the Globe.
The Oct. 30 event, which will feature Obama, US House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, and US Representative Steve Israel of New York, is slated to take place at the home of Susan and Alan Solomont.
The evening fund-raiser — which can collect up to $32,400 from an individual donor — will benefit the arm of the Democratic Party focused on taking back the US House of Representatives, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Republicans have held the majority in the House since January 2011.
For $64,800 a couple, the invitation offers a “VIP Host” tier of access, which includes a VIP Host reception, photo line, and seated dinner.
Obama has previously made his way to Massachusetts this year to raise money for Democrats. In June, the President headlined a campaign rally and a smaller fund-raising event for then-US Senate hopeful Edward J. Markey.
The Solomonts are longtime donors to Democrats and Democratic causes. Alan Solomont served as US ambassador to Spain under Obama.
It’s unclear how much the event will raise. But a high-dollar fund-raiser for Markey held earlier this year and headlined by Michelle Obama, raked in more than $700,000.
