Boehner to make two fundraising stops in Boston Tuesday
U.S. House Speaker John Boehner will visit Boston on Tuesday, raising money on the day the city’s voters will be choosing between two Democrats to be their next mayor.
Boehner will headline an evening reception at the Boston home of First Marblehead CEO Dan Meyers, according to Republicans familiar with the event. Tickets cost $5,000 per person.
Later, Boehner is the featured guest at a dinner hosted by Christopher Egan, founder of Carruth Capital and son of the late U.S. ambassador to Ireland Richard Egan. Tickets to the second event are fetching $25,000 per couple.
