The 330-acre Vermont estate of late Hollywood tough guy Charles Bronson is on the market for $4.89 million. The property, which includes three ponds and an indoor riding arena, is located in both West Windsor and Hartland. Bronson, who died in 2003 and is buried in West Windsor, originally purchased the farm house and 130 acres more than 30 years ago, and added other parcels to create the site that locals now refer to as Bronson Farm. The main residence is a renovated, 1796 brick Federal-style home with an addition that includes a solarium and an elevator. Mary Ellen McCue of LandVest in Vermont has the listing.
The price of Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford's 5,567-square-foot, custom-built, Federal-style Cape (left) in Marshfield Hills has been reduced from $4.8 million to $3.9 million. The broker has also changed. Janet Koelsch of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Scituate is now representing the home.
Only pre-qualified buyers will be allowed to have a peek at the palatial 10-room main house on the 17-acre, gated, hilltop estate. ''We're being very particular," said Koelsch. In addition to the main house, there's a carriage house with two bedrooms, a large kitchen, a full bath and a six-car garage. A third building has a nine-car garage, mechanic's bay, and a second-floor billiards room with a fireplace and wet bar.
