Condo packed with custom touches
When he first saw the floor plans for the condos at the former Swan Junior High School, Tony Zarbano remembers the penthouse immediately catching his eye.
“Give me that one,’’ he blurted out, and sure enough he bought the stylish unit with the far away view of Boston.
Zarbano, a Boston real estate agent, is now selling this unusual condo. It is cozy, yet has a large roof deck and oversize windows. During the finishing of the unit, Zarbano added personal touches, and the result is an exciting contemporary.
The living room has high ceilings, red oak flooring, and a gas fireplace surrounded by Italian tiles. The master bedroom has a spacious walk-in closet and a bath with spa and walls of imported tiles set to resemble an old stone wall. The guest bathroom is high tech: A computerized shower has multiple heads.
The gourmet kitchen has cherry cabinets in mocha finish, a backsplash of Italian glass tiles, tile flooring from Kuwait, and JennAir appliances.
Zarbano painted throughout in original warm, deep paint colors. The unit comes with two parking spaces, and the monthly condo fee is $300.
