Candidates' homes
General Wesley K. Clark:
Little Rock, Arkansas
Clotworthy: "The use of large pillars and brick in architecture represent strength and it is interesting that the only presidential homes with those two features belonged to two great military and political leaders —George Washington's Mount Vernon and Andrew Jackson's Hermitage. It may be premature to compare General Clark's home with those masterpieces, but we should remember that the White House was originally constructed of brick; its massive pillars remain."
