PowerHouse hopes the house will achieve LEED's (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) highest rating, platinum. Two units it designed in Cambridge were among the first 15 residences nationwide to win that designation.

On this home, the finishes used are less toxic, and the precast foundation uses less concrete and is stronger than conventional foundations.
