Choose someone with whom you're comfortable

You should get a good feeling from the broker you choose. If that means choosing someone who comes from a similar background as yourself, whether you are divorced or a single parent, and would like to work with someone who can relate, or are elderly and would prefer an older agent who understands the art of downsizing, then ask a brokerage to recommend agents who meet that criteria.
