'Ink Block' at old Boston Herald site
The $200 million Ink Block project at the former Boston Herald site on Harrison Avenue in the South End will include a 50,000-square-foot Whole Foods supermarket. The six-acre project, approved in May, will add three news buildings to the current sturcture and feature retail and restaurant space on the ground floor and 471 luxury apartments. Developed in two phases, the project is expected to be completed by 2016. Whole Foods is expected to open in 2014.
