The Boston Redevelopment Authority, gave the go-ahead to the developers of the proposed Merano building planned for the intersection of Beverly and Causeway streets in February. The building would house 230 residential apartments and a 210-room hotel with restaurant and retail space on the ground floor. Construction is expected to begin in late 2012.
The construction will be contained in a pair of adjoined 14-story buildings. Residents will have access to a pool and fitness center to be built in the Courtyard Marriott. The second and third levels of the complex will contain 184 parking spaces.
