The DeJesuses, however, were caught in housing's downward spiral, and the home's value slid by as much as $100,000. Meanwhile, the mortgage costs went up to $3,200 a month. The DeJesuses couldn't refinance and couldn't sell, and they couldn't pay the mortgage. They will lose their home, shown here, to foreclosure at the end of this month.
