Residential moves

Among those moving into the Residences at the InterContinental at 500 Atlantic Ave. are University of Massachusetts at Boston professor, art historian, and Monet authority Paul Hayes Tucker and his wife, marketing analyst Maggie Moss-Tucker, who paid $1.875 million for a condo. (The Tuckers were known for hosting community parties and other fetes at their home in Charlestown for nearly three decades. Son Jonathan Tucker is one of the stars of the upcoming NBC show "The Black Donnellys.") And Robert Athanas, son of the late restaurateur Anthony Athanas, paid $1.575 million for a unit in the building. Meanwhile, interior designer Dennis Duffy also bought a $1.325 million unit, but has changed his mind. Duffy has lived in the South End for several years and has his offices on Harrison Avenue. He has decided to resell his condo in the InterContinental.

Every high-profile roster change on Boston's pro sports teams usually results in a high-end real estate listing. So it's not a huge surprise that pitcher Keith Foulke, the star closer on the Red Sox 2004 World Series championship team, has put his three-bedroom, 3 1/2 -bath condo in the Ritz-Carlton Towers on the market for $2.025 million (Citylife Real Estate partner Michael Doherty has the listing.) Foulke declined a $3.75 million option from the Red Sox to become a free agent about two weeks ago.
