MARTHA'S VINEYARD - In 1984, when developers razed the old Seaview Hotel in Oak Bluffs and replaced the grand dame with condominiums, Vineyarders scoffed. Condos and Martha's Vineyard seemed incompatible, and this first marriage appeared destined for failure as sales stalled and asking prices fell.
