The exterior of this South Natick home belies what's inside, because while the front is boxy-plain with rectangular windows, the interior is all soaring space with elegant details. The entry features a wide staircase and oak flooring with cherry inlay; the family room has a dramatic two-story, two-sided fireplace, cathedral ceiling, high windows, and skylight; and the new kitchen well, this is a piece of art unto itself. It features a center island, desk, and two walls of handmade maple cabinets that rise to the ceiling with elaborate molding. The beige ceramic tile floor includes a multicolored inlay tile design. The granite counters have an intricate edging, the backsplash is made of natural stone, the oversized sink sits below a large bay window, and there's a dual-zone subzero wine cooler, among a myriad of designer appliances. One side of the kitchen opens into the fabulous family room and a screened porch, which looks out at a peaceful perennial garden on a sloped hill.

On the far side of the kitchen is a banquet-sized dining room with balcony. Two other rooms complete the entry level: a step-down living room and a cozy office. Floors are mostly hardwood, with pickled red oak in the dining room.

The master bedroom is spacious with a cathedral ceiling, and the walk-in closet could be a room all its own. The master bath includes two sinks and an oversized jet tub. The other bedrooms are more than adequate. "It's a family and entertaining layout with an easy flow," says Mindy Roiff Shanfeld of Prudential Town and Country Real Estate, who will hold an open house from noon to 2 p.m. today.
