Office landlords adding open space, natural light, recreation options in bid to answer changing demands of workers

Boston Properties is among several large commercial landlords trying to reinvent the notion of American office space. The company’s regional manager and other real estate executives say large employers and their workers are tired of spending their days in places that make them miserable. They want more sunlight and features such as yoga studios, outdoor fire pits, and recreational opportunities to encourage interaction with co-workers.
