Rob Gronkowski returns to Patriots practice

FOXBOROUGH—Rob Gronkowski was on the field and participating as the Patriots held their final on-field practice of the week at Gillette Stadium Friday.
The tight end, returning for the first time since breaking his left arm on Nov. 18 against the Colts, was spotted during the media-access window.
Kyle Love was the only player not spotted. The Patriots, who wore shells and sweats, were expected to release a formal injury report later Friday.
The Patriots (10-3) are set to host the 49ers (9-3-1) on Sunday night.
