Dallas stopped at home by D.C. United

Pizza Hut Park continues to be unkind to FC Dallas.

Facundo Erpen and Santino Quaranta scored goals as visiting D.C. United posted a 2-1 triumph last night as FC Dallas continued to struggle at home.

FC Dallas opened its home campaign with a 5-0-1 mark at the Cotton Bowl before playing its first game in its new home in Frisco, Texas, Aug 6. The switch of venues has not paid dividends as FC Dallas fell to 0-3-2 there.

Ramon Nunez scored in the 87th minute for FC Dallas (10-9-6), which dropped to 0-7-3 in its last 10 matches.

MetroStars 1, Wizards 0 -- Eddie Gaven scored on a long shot that deflected off a midfielder to lift the visiting MetroStars in Kansas City, Mo.

MetroStars goalkeeper Tony Meola had six saves to win in his return to KC after being released by the Wizards in the offeason.
