Seymour opts out
Richard Seymour will not be taking a Hawaiian vacation on the NFL next month.The Patriots defensive end pulled out of the Pro Bowl yesterday and was replaced by Jacksonville's John Henderson.
Seymour, selected to his fifth straight Pro Bowl, was the Patriots' lone representative. Bill Belichick will coach the AFC squad Feb. 10 at Honolulu.

Vikings defensive tackle Pat Williams was added to the NFC's Pro Bowl squad, chosen as an injury replacement for the Bears' Tommie Harris, and Cowboys tight end Jason Witten will replace injured Giant Jeremy Shockey . . . Chargers defensive coordinator Wade Phillips interviewed with the Cowboys about replacing retired coach Bill Parcells. Phillips said he had a "very encompassing talk" with owner and general manager Jerry Jones. Jones also plans to talk to 49ers offensive coordinator Norv Turner and Saints defensive coordinator Gary Gibbs . . .
