Christina Kim hit a 7-iron that stopped 2 feet behind the hole on 18 and made the birdie for a playoff victory over Nicole Castrale yesterday to claim the eighth and final spot in the final round of the ADT Championship in West Palm Beach, Fla., giving her just as much of a chance as anyone to win the $1 million prize.
Lorena Ochoa shot a bogey-free 6-under-par 66 to tie for the low round with Paula Creamer.
Karrie Webb, whose 50-foot birdie putt Friday enabled her to avoid a playoff, had no stress in her round of 68.
The other qualifiers were Cristie Kerr, Natalie Gulbis, Sarah Lee, and Mi Hyun Kim.
PGA - Tommy Armour shot a 7-under 65 at Del Monte GC to take a two-stroke lead over Nick Watney after the third round of the Pebble Beach (Calif.) Invitational.
Armour, a two-time PGA Tour winner, has a 14-under 202 total.
Asian - Ian Poulter shot a 3-under 67 to take a two-stroke lead after the third round of the Dunlop Phoenix tournament in Miyazaki, Japan.
The Englishman has a 10-under 200 total.
European - Robert Karlsson retained a four-stroke lead over Miguel Angel Jimenez (66) after 54 holes of the Hong Kong Open. The Swede finished with a 4-under 66 and stands at 16-under 194.![]()
