The Shaq-less Miami Heat aren't much different than they were before trading the 14-time All-Star center.
Andre Iguodala scored 25 points and Andre Miller added 21, leading the 76ers to a 101-84 victory over the shorthanded Heat last night in Philadelphia.
The Heat are still stuck on nine wins, and they've lost twice in the day and a half since dealing Shaquille O'Neal to Phoenix for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks.
Miami has lost six straight games and 21 of its last 22 - and the frustration is showing.
"I don't look at the standings," Heat guard Dwyane Wade said. "I know we are at the bottom."
The Heat struggled throughout, and nobody more than Wade.
Wade scored 19 points on 5-for-17 shooting, below his 24.3 average.
"We tried to put a lot of players in his vision, and fortunately for us, he didn't shoot the ball well, the way he's capable of shooting," Sixers coach Maurice Cheeks said.
The Heat seemed eager to put the events of the last few days behind them, and didn't hesitate to look ahead to what Marion, a four-time All-Star, can contribute to a staggering club.
"They'll add to our team, that's for sure," Wade said of the newcomers, who are expected to be in uniform for Sunday's home game against the Los Angeles Lakers. "We're really looking forward to our new guys coming in and the other guys who are coming back.
"Shawn Marion does it all."
Marion and Banks weren't in the lineup because they were still undergoing physicals. The Heat had nine players in uniform for the second straight game. They were down to eight players in the second half after losing Alexander Johnson to an ankle injury with more than seven minutes left in the second quarter.
Bulls 114, Warriors 108 - Chris Duhon scored a career-high 34 points, Joe Smith had 27, and undermanned Chicago hung on for a victory over host Golden State, spoiling Chris Webber's return.
Duhon's 11-of-16 shooting, four 3-pointers, and nine assists carried the Bulls as they somehow stayed in front of the well-rested Warriors.
Chicago used just eight players while injured Ben Gordon, Luol Deng, and Kirk Hinrich were sidelined.
Webber had 4 points and two assists in 12 minutes in his first game with the Warriors since the former No. 1 overall draft pick forced a trade after his rookie season more than 13 years ago.
Rockets 92, Cavaliers 77 - Yao Ming had 22 points and 12 rebounds as host Houston overcame a poor night from ailing All-Star Tracy McGrady.
LeBron James had 32 points for the Cavaliers. McGrady was hospitalized earlier in the day with an upper respiratory infection and strep throat. He arrived at the arena less than an hour before tipoff and scored 8 points on 3-for-11 shooting.![]()
