Mehmet Okur scored 11 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter and Utah rallied from a 15-point second-half deficit to beat the Detroit Pistons, 103-95, last night in Salt Lake City.
The Jazz won their sixth straight over the Pistons, holding them without a field goal for almost 12 minutes between the end of the third and midway through the fourth.
Paul Millsap scored 19, including 16 in the second half and led Utah's comeback. Carlos Boozer added 18 points and 15 rebounds and Deron Willliams had 14 points and 14 assists.
Richard Hamilton scored 22 points, Chauncey Billups had 21, and the Pistons led by 18 in the first half and continued to hold down the Jazz until the end of the third quarter.
The Jazz outscored the Pistons, 25-18, in the third quarter, going on a 15-2 run late to cut the lead to 2 points. Detroit didn't score for four minutes as Millsap led the Jazz on a comeback after it appeared Detroit was on its way to ending its losing streak to Utah.
Nuggets 138, SuperSonics 96 - Allen Iverson scored 31 points, and Denver was nearly flawless on offense, scoring the most points in the NBA this season in a rout of host Seattle to snap a three-game losing streak.
Playing a tired Seattle team certainly helped the Nuggets. The Sonics were finishing off a back-to-back, having played at Golden State a night earlier and offered little resistance at the defensive end.
With Denver trying to chase down a playoff spot in the competitive Western Conference, games against teams like lowly Seattle are now must-wins. The Nuggets are a half-game behind Golden State for eighth in the West.
Hornets 120, Suns 103 - Chris Paul had 25 points, 15 assists, and three steals to help host New Orleans end a three-game losing skid with a victory over Phoenix.
David West scored 27 points and reserve guard Jannero Pargo added 22 for New Orleans, which shot 53 percent in avoiding its first four-game losing streak of the season.
The Suns are 2-3 since trading Shawn Marion for Shaquille O'Neal, who had 15 points and seven rebounds.
76ers 101, Magic 89 - Andre Miller scored 22 of his 26 points in the first half and Willie Green had a season-high 26 to lead host Philadelphia over Orlando.
Miller and Green, the Sixers' starting backcourt, outscored Orlando starting guards, Jameer Nelson and Maurice Evans, 52-2. Miller was 11 for 16 from the floor and added nine assists and six rebounds. Evans played 10 minutes in the first half and did not return.
Raptors 107, Timberwolves 85 - Chris Bosh scored 28 points, T.J. Ford had 16, and Toronto beat visiting Minnesota for the eighth straight time.
Andrea Bargnani had 12 and Jamario Moon added 11 for Toronto, which has won five of six overall and four straight at home.
Bulls 113, Pacers 107 - Larry Hughes had 29 points and Drew Gooden added 10 points and 15 rebounds, helping new-look Chicago win in Indianapolis.
Luol Deng finished with 16 points and Ben Gordon scored 15 for the Bulls, who won for the first time since acquiring Hughes and Gooden from Cleveland Feb. 21.
Hawks 123, Kings 117 - Mike Bibby had 24 points and 12 assists in his home debut for Atlanta, leading his team over Sacramento.
Joe Johnson had 26 points for the Hawks, who had dropped two straight and eight of nine. Josh Childress had 22 of his 25 points in the second half, hitting all nine of his free throw attempts. Al Horford had 16 points and 14 rebounds.
Knicks 113, Bobcats 89 - Nate Robinson scored 22 points, Jamal Crawford added 20, and host New York matched its easiest victory of the season by beating Charlotte.
Zach Randolph had 18 points for the Knicks.
Trail Blazers 82, Clippers 80 - Jarrett Jack tied a season high with 21 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter, leading visiting Portland.![]()
