Nationals manager Davey Johnson said pitcher Stephen Strasburg has ‘‘a little tightness’’ in his right forearm and was seen by a doctor after Monday night’s start in Atlanta.
The Braves beat the Nationals, 3-2, for their eighth straight win against their NL East rivals. Atlanta ended a four-game losing streak after Andrelton Simmons hit a tiebreaking sacrifice fly in the seventh inning.
Strasburg was gone by then, though he did end his career-worst streak of losses in four straight starts. He allowed two runs and six hits in six innings and got a no-decision.
Johnson said Strasburg ‘‘doesn’t look right to me’’ after watching the 24-year-old righthander walk four and strike out eight. Strasburg appeared to struggle to get comfortable on the mound, sometimes shaking his arm after a pitch. Full story for BostonGlobe.com subscribers.
