Point guard Steve Nash will be out of the Lakers’ lineup for at least two weeks with nerve root irritation. Nash, 39, the oldest player in the league, played just 13 minutes in the Lakers’ loss to Minnesota on Sunday night before sitting out with pain in his back and hamstrings . . . Rockets guard James Harden was fined $5,000 by the NBA for violating the league’s anti-flopping rules for the second time this season. Harden was cited Saturday during the Rockets’ 107-94 loss to the Clippers. A first violation earns a warning . . . Bucks forward Larry Sanders will miss about six weeks after having surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb sustained in a Nov. 3 fight at a nightclub . . . Pacers star swingman Danny Granger, who has yet to play in a game this season because of a strained left calf, is expected to work out Tuesday and could return to practice as early as Wednesday. Granger missed all but five games last season because of a tendon injury in his left knee, and hasn’t played in nearly a month after injuring his left calf.
