Two games into their exhibition schedule and the Dodgers are already dealing with injuries to key players.

Righthander Zack Greinke left his start against the Diamondbacks on Thursday in Glendale, Ariz., because of a mild right calf strain, having thrown just four pitches in Los Angeles’ 4-3 win over split-squad Arizona.

‘‘I think it’s minor, but we'll see,’’ Greinke said. ‘‘I don’t know exactly what it was, but it felt kind of like a cramp.’’

Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford was scratched before the game because of a tight quadriceps in his left thigh. Manager Don Mattingly called the move precautionary. “We know that we’ve got to be careful with him,” Mattingly said. Crawford missed 30 games last year with an injury to his right hamstring.
