Gary Sheffield lined an RBI double with two outs in the 10th inning, enabling the Yankees to end the Anaheim Angels' nine-game winning streak with an 8-7 victory last night in New York.
The game included two rain delays totaling nearly 2 1/2 hours, plus a bizarre break when the Yankees' radio broadcast began echoing from the scoreboard in the 10th.

But Anaheim's Troy Percival couldn't hold the lead. Jorge Posada singled with one out, pinch runner Homer Bush stole second, Hideki Matsui walked and Ruben Sierra hit a tying single.
