BOSTON—The Boston Red Sox aren't increasing the prices for food and drinks at Fenway Park this season for the first time since 2002.

The Red Sox announced the freeze Thursday, meaning the famous Fenway Franks will still cost $4.75 and a box of popcorn will run $3.75.

The team also is starting the "Fenway Family Hour" in April. Families who arrive at the park in the hour after the gates open will get discounts of up to 50 percent on burgers, pizza and other food. The team store on Yawkey Way also will discount merchandise during the hour.

Red Sox President Larry Lucchino says the team hopes the changes will allow many families to enjoy coming to Red Sox games.

The Red Sox's first home game is April 6 against Tampa Bay.
