Boggs wants his number retired
COOPERSTOWN, N.Y. - Wade Boggs said yesterday he’s happy that Jim Rice will have his No. 14 retired by the Red Sox Tuesday at Fenway Park, but the Hall of Famer, who was inducted in a Sox cap but finished his career with the Yankees and Rays, believes his No. 26 also should be hung on the right-field facade.
