■Former closer Brad Lidge (partially torn rotator cuff) made his season debut for the Phillies in the seventh inning. He threw 11 pitches in a scoreless inning and received a standing ovation as he left the mound.

■The Padres have stolen a base in 12 straight games.

■Tigers manager Jim Leyland was ejected before the start of the sixth inning, the third time this season and 59th of his career. No reason was given for the dismissal.

■The Phillies held a Christmas in July promotion and fans brought signs that read “Merry Cliff-Mas’’ in reference to starter Cliff Lee.

■A scoring change from Sunday’s game gave Braves second baseman Dan Uggla a 15-game hitting streak and a claim to a statistical anomaly. According to STATS, LLC, Uggla’s .197 batting average is the lowest for any player since 1946 to carry a hitting streak of 15 games or longer after at least 100 games. Third baseman Miguel Cairo was originally given an error on Uggla’s sixth-inning at-bat in the Reds’ 4-3 win Sunday.

■Mets third baseman David Wright is 8 for 19 (.421) with seven RBIs in four games since returning from the disabled list.
