Angels' Pujols leaves game with a tight right calf
BOSTON—First baseman Albert Pujols has left the Los Angeles Angels' game against Boston in the fourth inning with tightness in his right calf.
Pujols doubled in the fourth inning and pulled up running between second and third on Kendrys Morales' grounder to shortstop before slowing going into the third-base bag.
He stayed in the game, but ran home slowly on Mark Trumbo's single to center, noticeably limping on his way to the dugout.
Pujols was replaced at first by Trumbo, who moved from left field in the bottom of the inning on Wednesday night. Vernon Wells went into left.
