There wasn't a whole lot of action by the Red Sox for the July 31 trade deadline, but general manager Ben Cherington has completed a blockbuster trade before the Aug. 31 waiver wire deadline. In the proposed trade, the Red Sox dumped a significant amount of money to the Dodgers, as they look to make a run at the postseason.
