Will Jose Iglesias be ready?
Red Sox shortstop prospect Jose Iglesias has been drawing praise for his defense for a couple of years now. The question has been whether he has the chops to hit at the major league level. The light-hitting Iglesias is hitting .266 with one home run and 26 RBIs at Pawtucket, and those numbers aren't a huge departure from where he's been the rest of his career. Mike Aviles is not the long-term answer for the Red Sox at short, but can the Red Sox tolerate such low numbers from a starting player?
