Where do the Red Sox go from here?

Will the Sox extend Jacoby Ellsbury?
Carl Crawford's seven-year, $142 million contract with the Red Sox in 2010 is probably the starting point for a long-term deal with Ellsbury. The Red Sox have been burned by big deals of late, and outside of one season, Ellsbury hasn't proven he can consistently hit for power. There's also the issue of injuries, which have affected both Ellsbury and Crawford. Still the Red Sox don't have many star hitters left, and keeping the dynamic Ellsbury could be a key to the team's future.
