Former Red Sox outfielder Jason Bay is available after the Mets terminated his contract. Bay spent part of 2008 and all of 2009 in Boston. Red Sox GM Ben Cherington was asked about Bay and said he hasn't considered him yet, but also wouldn't rule anything out. Bay was an injury concern before he left Boston, and was injury-prone in his three seasons with the Mets. According to WEEI.com, Bay is interested in returning to Boston.
