2012 CHRISTMAS AT FENWAY
The Red Sox’s annual “Christmas at Fenway” event took place on a snowy Dec. 1. The event is the kickoff for ticket sales for next season and the Red Sox had plenty of activities for fans.

General Manager Ben Cherington autographed a jersey for Jerry Zeidman, 74, of Mansfield during the event.
Cherington spoke with the media during the event. Several players were also around to pose for photos with fans and sign autographs.
Ten year-olds Lizzy Diorio (left) and Melissa Zembrzuski of Wolcott, Conn. enjoyed the festivities.
A girl tried to catch snowflakes in her mouth while walking around the park.
Hundreds of people gathered in the Royal Rooters Club to watch the interview with Cherington and do other activities while waiting for their number to be called so that they could buy raffle tickets.

Fenway residents Tim Wilde and Liz Covart enjoyed their seats on the used visitor chairs that were for sale in the Player’s Club. “We are mostly here for the tickets,” Covart said. “We were looking for a warm place to wait for our number to be called.”
Hallie Allen and her father, Scott, of Somerville held up a Wally-inspired balloon animal.
Nathalie Hills and her son John took a ride on a train in Fenway Park.
Children waited in line with their parents to get a picture with Santa in his workshop.
Connor Hugo, 18 months, of Needham looked a little uncertain as he sat on Santa’s Lap between Mrs. Clause and an elf at Santa’s workshop at Fenway Park.
Jodi True, of Durham, Maine took a picture of her 12-year-old son, Jack. Jack said they won Carl Crawford’s autograph in the raffle.
Andrew, 9, of Brookline, and his 7-year-old sister Julia wore their Red Sox balloon hats with pride.
Eight-year-old Nicholas Feisthamel, of Charlestown, R.I. played a game at Fenway Park while waiting with his father, Nicholas, to buy their tickets.
Dennis Doble, of Burlington, showed off both his holiday and Red Sox spirit.
With so much excitement, 3-year-old Sienna Kaplan couldn’t keep her eyes open. Her mom said that the young Red Sox fan loves Wally and already knows some of the words to “Sweet Caroline.”
Anthony Gregorio, 6, wore his Red Sox balloon on his face while waiting in line to see Santa. The Granby resident said that even though he made his list, he is going to remind Santa that he would like an “All-Terrain Twister,” which is a remote-controlled car that “can go on snow, water, and dirt.”
