Free agent outfielder Shane Victorino has agreed to a three-year, $37.5 million contract with the Red Sox, the Globe has confirmed.

The deal is pending a physical.

Victorino also confirmed the news via a tweet.

Victorino is reportedly in Hawaii.

The Red Sox were the front-runners to land Victorino, but the Indians were also involved. Victorino, who just turned 32, is a nine-year veteran who hit .255 with 11 homers and 55 RBIs for the Phillies and Dodgers last season.
