Outfielder Josh Reddick spent his first season as an everyday player with the Oakland A’s in 2012, and is projected as Oakland’s starting right fielder in 2013.
He was drafted by the Red Sox in 2006 but wasn't called up from the minors until 2009. Reddick went back and forth between Pawtucket and Boston until 2011, when he was recalled in May and remained with Boston when a slot opened up on the 40-man active roster.
He was traded in December of that year to the Oakland Athletics with two minor league players when the Sox acquired Ryan Sweeney and Andrew Bailey. Reddick had a successful first season with Oakland and finished the year with 32 homers and 85 RBIs.
