Giancarlo Stanton, Miami Marlins (OF)
A new update in the Red Sox trade market watch is that they are heavily pursuing Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton. According to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro, the Red Sox "may be willing to part with whatever it takes," to aquire Stanton. Stanton is hitting .262 with 13 home runs and 63 RBIs for the hapless Marlins this season, and Miami has been known to sell their biggest pieces in the past (Jose Reyes, Mark Buehrle, Hanley Ramirez, etc.). However, the Marlins have insisted that Stanton is not for sale, so it will be seen in the next 24 hours whether any movement is made on this front.
