Napoli was famous as a Red Sox Killer before signing with Boston in 2013, and he brought significant postseason experience with him. Napoli's first taste of postseason baseball came with the Angels against the Red Sox in 2007, when he had a single in six at-bats.
In 2008, Napoli's Angels squared off against Boston again in the ALDS, and this time the current Sox first baseman belted two home runs and had four RBIs in a losing cause. Both of Napoli's '08 homers came in Game 3 at Fenway Park.
He was back behind the plate when the Angels swept the Sox in the ALDS in three games in 2009. As a member of the Rangers in 2011, Napoli had 10 RBIs against the Cardinals in the World Series in a losing cause.
