Red Sox manager John Farrell acknowledged on Wednesday that Clay Buchholz is dealing with an injury, but maintained the righthander would start Game 3 or Game 4 of the World Series, with Jake Peavy taking the other game.
That the Sox have not selected a starter for Saturday’s game in St. Louis is a sign of something amiss. But Farrell chose his words carefully when asked if Buchholz is injured.
“Not to the point of keeping him out of starting,” he said.
So, there is some kind of issue?
