Lackey allowed two home runs, to Andrelton Simmons in the third inning and a two-run shot by Dan Uggla in the fifth. Freddie Freeman doubled in a run in the first inning, and Chris Johnson knocked in the first of the Braves’ three runs in the fifth with a sacrifice fly. Mike Napoli (single), Xander Bogaerts (double), and Jackie Bradley Jr. drove in runs for the Red Sox. The Braves made two errors in the seventh, contributing to two Boston runs.
