Michelle Mangan, 30, newest style reporter for New England Sports Network's Red Sox pregame show.

COWGIRL UP: Marrying a Red Sox heartthrob means instant fame, and this Missouri girl who used to go cow-tipping for fun parlayed hers into a career break. Mangan met Johnny Damon while working as a talent scout for cheerleaders and models. Now she's the talent, pitching Sox-related pop culture.

FENWAY FRANKNESS: "I actually went to NESN two years ago and said, 'I'm interested in getting involved in TV, doing something not sports-related, because I'm not good with sports.' At least I'm honest."

SCREEN NAME: Mangan kept her name when she married but, reversing convention, uses her husband's professionally.

MANE MANAGER: She encouraged Damon to grow his hair out, so what's next? He's "been thinking, ‘Maybe I should do something different.' I told him, ‘It will be a big deal if you change it again, so you better do something cool like a Mohawk.' "

BAMBINOS? A newlywed with two stepchildren, Mangan is already hearing baby talk from Damon. "He really wants to. I'm kind of scared. . . . He was talking about in February or March he would like to try, so if I get pregnant it could be born in the off-season. We'll see if he can talk me into it."
