Sox make González deal official

The Red Sox filed the contract of newly signed shortstop Alex González with the commissioner's office yesterday, making it official. But the club is holding off making an announcement of the deal until it clears a spot on the 40-man major league roster for González, who is to be paid $3 million in 2006 under terms of the agreement.
