We're certain Eric Hinske is a swell guy and his bat should help. We understand Javy Lopez was necessary after Jason Varitek was injured, but in yesterday's long and arduous doubleheader sweep at the hands of the Yankees, it became clear the Red Sox' emphasis in player acquisition should have been on pitching.
