Spring tickets on sale Dec. 2

Tickets will go on sale Dec. 2 for the Red Sox' 17 spring training games at City of Palms Park in Fort Myers, Fla., which underwent improvements since the team went north last March.

Ticket prices for Grapefruit League games remain unchanged for the third year, ranging from $10 (standing room) to $44 (home plate box). Tickets will be sold starting at 10 a.m. at the City of Palms Park box office, www.redsox.com, or by calling (617) 482-4SOX (4769). The park will now feature a right field deck, located directly behind the outfield fence, which will include approximately 150 barstool-type seats and a drink rail. Additionally, there will be a new outside suite for approximately 20 people located adjacent to the right field foul pole available on a per-game basis.

The Red Sox, who moved to Fort Myers in 1993, sold out every Grapefruit League game last spring.

Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report Feb. 16, with infielders and outfielders arriving Feb. 20. The first full-squad workout is Feb. 21, with all workouts free and open to the public.

The Sox, who will play 32 spring games in all, open with four home games against Minnesota (Feb. 28), Northeastern (split squad, March 1), Boston College (split squad, March 2), and Philadelphia (March 3). All tickets for Northeastern and Boston College will be half price.

After hosting Tampa Bay March 29, the club will fly to Philadelphia for exhibitions March 30 and 31, before opening the regular season April 2 in Kansas City.
