Ortiz car gets bid over $465K on eBay

The highest bid for Red Sox slugger David Ortiz's car on eBay was $465,300, as of noontime today.

On Monday Ortiz put his 2005 Mercedes-Benz up for sale on the auction website.

The SL65 AMG convertible, which is Red Sox red in color, cost Ortiz $205,000 when it was purchased and another $35,000 was spent by Big Papi on accessories.

Bidding ends at 6:49 p.m. for the car with only 4,000 miles on it.

By the way, whoever gets the car should know the Sox designated hitter will deliver the car and keys in person to the buyer at Fenway Park.
