BOSTON—Boston Red Sox fans who want to see their team play Japan's top clubs as well as the regular-season opening series against Oakland on television will have to either stay up late or get up early to catch the games.

The Red Sox take on the Hanshin Tigers at Tokyo Dome on March 22 starting at 12:07 p.m. local time. That's 11:07 p.m. on March 21 Boston time.

The March 23 exhibition against the Yomiuri Giants at Tokyo Dome starts at 12:07 p.m. local time, or 6:07 a.m. Boston time.

The March 25-26 games against the Athletics in Tokyo both start at 7:07 p.m. Japan time, again, 6:07 a.m. Boston time.

The Red Sox on Wednesday also announced the re-signing of catcher Doug Mirabelli to a one-year contract. Mirabelli, a free agent, batted .202 with five homers and 16 RBIs in 48 games with Boston in 2007, mostly catching for knuckleballer Tim Wakefield.

Mirabelli, 37, will get a $550,000 base salary. He can make $275,000 more in roster bonuses, $150,000 in conditioning bonuses and $1.25 million in performance bonuses based on games and games started.
