A look at how the local outlets will cover Red Sox spring training:
NESN: NESN has some innovative programming, 250 percent more than in 2007, designed to give the Nation its fix. The 36 days of spring coverage began Wednesday and continues Saturday morning with a two-hour broadcast of "Red Sox Spring Break LIVE," hosted by Tom Caron at 10, which will be replayed in full at 3:30 p.m. and in a condensed version at 6:30 and 10:30.
Channel 4: Dan Roche will be live in Fort Myers, Fla., reporting during the 4, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts.
Channel 5: Mike Lynch will report from Fort Myers through next week. "SportsCenter 5 OT" will broadcast live from there Sunday at 11:25 p.m. The team will be covered in news and features on TV and online at TheBostonChannel.com.
NECN: Sports anchor Chris Collins will broadcast live from Fort Myers through next Friday. He will provide reports during "News Day Live" from 4-6 p.m., with R.D. Sahl at 6, the news at 9 with Sahl and Beth Shelburne, and his 11 p.m.-midnight show, "Sports Late Night," every evening.
Channel 7: Sports director Joe Amorosino and newcomer Julie Donaldson will broadcast live from Fort Myers, with Amorosino on the scene for a week and Donaldson a bit longer. They'll report during the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts as well as the Sunday night sports show at 11:25.
