Friends and family of Mike Lowell threw a retirement party for the former Sox third baseman at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach Saturday. Sox players in attendance included Josh Beckett and wife Holly Fisher, Tim and Stacey Wakefield, Dustin Pedroia and wife Kelley, and John Lackey. Also there were the Life is Good brothers, Bert and John Jacobs. The party, which included a gourmet Cuban dinner and a video tribute to the 2007 World Series MVP, was organized by Lowell’s wife and high-school sweetheart, Bertha.
